Install and join ScandiCraft
The official launcher installs the game, the mods and everything they need. There is nothing to configure by hand.
Download and open the launcher
Get the launcher from the download page, install it and open it. On first run it downloads the game and the ScandiCraft mods. Every file is verified: a modified or foreign mod is removed before launch.

The launcher opens the Microsoft sign-in page and shows you a code to enter. You can store several accounts and switch between them from the Accounts panel. Your credentials stay on your machine only, in your system's secure encrypted vault.
Set the memory
Memory allocated to the game is changed in Settings. The default is 4 GB, the minimum 2 GB, and the maximum adapts to your machine. There is no point going higher without reason: allocating more memory does not make the game smoother.
Connect to the server
The Play button connects you straight to the server. There is no address to remember and no server to add by hand.

Do I need to install Java or mods myself?
No. The launcher installs everything the game needs into its own folder, without touching what is already on your machine.
Can I play without the launcher?
No. The server checks that your game really is the ScandiCraft one, and that nothing has been modified, before letting you in. That is what keeps everyone on a level field.
Does the launcher touch my Minecraft folder?
Never. ScandiCraft installs into a separate folder. Your other installs and your singleplayer worlds are untouched.
How much memory should I allocate?
4 GB suits the vast majority of setups. Go to 6 or 8 GB only if you enable shaders and your machine has room to spare.
Does an unofficial account work?
No. An official Minecraft account is required. It is what allows players to be identified reliably and cheaters to be sanctioned.
