1.7.10-inspired PvP on modern Minecraft
Since Minecraft 1.9, a recharge bar sits between sword swings. Many PvP players stayed on 1.7.10, which is faster and easier to read. ScandiCraft does not run on 1.7.10: it recreates the feel on a modern version.

You swing at your own pace. Chaining hits becomes possible again, and an exchange is won on pressure and positioning rather than on waiting for a bar to fill.
Combos are back
Landing a hit knocks your opponent back and stops them from answering immediately. Chained well, a combo decides a duel — and escaping one becomes a skill of its own.
Sprint reset, W-tap and S-tap
The sprint reset, the W-Tap and the S-Tap all consist of cutting and restarting your sprint to maximise the knockback you deal. They are part of the expected skill level, and they take a few evenings to learn.
Block-hitting
Striking and blocking in the same motion — the block-hit — is part of ScandiCraft's combat identity. It is a tempo mechanic as much as a defensive one.
Clicking fast is not an offence
A high CPS is allowed and will not be capped arbitrarily. What is not allowed is automation: auto-clickers are forbidden and punished with a ban.
Frequently asked questions about ScandiCraft PvP
Is ScandiCraft a 1.7.10 server?
No. The server runs on a modern Minecraft version. What is recreated is the 1.7.10 combat feel: pace, knockback, combos and block-hitting.
What is a sprint reset?
Cutting your sprint right before you swing and restarting it, to deal maximum knockback while keeping control of the distance. It is the most rewarding technique to learn first.
Do I need a high-end PC or a gaming mouse?
No. Positioning, distance management and preparation weigh far more than hardware.
Does the best gear always win?
No, and that is an explicit design rule: gear buys options, never an automatic win.
