Your first steps on the server
Your first session in order: leave spawn, build your base, gear up, then join a faction.
1. Understand where you are
Spawn is a protected zone: building, interaction and explosions are blocked. The moment you step out, PvP applies. The warzone allows combat but blocks every explosion.
2. Build your normal base
ScandiCraft progression starts after diamond. Wood, stone, iron, then diamond: nothing changes from the Minecraft you know. Take the time to get a diamond pickaxe, it is what unlocks the rest.
3. Go down for lazurite
Lazurite is the first ScandiCraft ore. It generates between Y -64 and Y 60, in the Overworld, the Nether and the End, and needs at least a diamond pickaxe. It is your first tier above diamond.

Smelt your raw lazurite in a furnace, then craft a sword, a pickaxe and armour with the usual patterns. A full lazurite set holds up better than diamond and enchants more easily.
5. Join or create a faction
Without a faction, nothing protects your chests. Join one with /f join if you are invited, or start your own with /f create. Then claim the chunk your base sits on with /f claim.
6. Learn combat before you look for it
ScandiCraft PvP has no attack cooldown and puts sword block-hit back at the centre of the game. Read the combat page before your first duel: modern Minecraft reflexes do not work here.

Can I be killed the moment I log in?
You get three seconds of invulnerability on every login. That is short: do not log out in the open counting on it to escape.
Where should I put my first base?
Far from spawn, and in a chunk your faction can claim. A chest on unclaimed land is protected by no rule at all: anyone can open it and empty it.
Should I go straight for scandium?
No. Scandium only generates between Y -64 and Y -48, in one chunk in twenty, and needs a pyrite pickaxe. Go through lazurite then netherite first.
What happens when I die?
You drop what you were carrying, as in normal Minecraft, and your faction loses power. That is why nobody goes out in full gear without a reason.
