Recipe, item, command…

Starting out when all you know is Minecraft

You have mined, crafted and built in Minecraft already. A PvP/Faction server adds three things: other players who can attack you, a clan to join and territory to defend. This guide covers all of it without jargon, before your first login.

A first session on ScandiCraft: from spawn to your first base.

Get the principle first

On ScandiCraft you share the world with everyone else. Some areas are safe, most are not. What you build can be attacked and what you carry can be lost. That permanent risk is what makes every trip out worth something.

Install the game in one go

You download the launcher, open it, and sign in with your Minecraft account. It installs the ScandiCraft content and keeps you updated on its own. No folder to copy, no mod to track down.

Build a reserve before you look for a fight

Gather enough to gear up several times. A player who loses their only set often stops playing; a player with a reserve comes back and improves.

Join a faction rather than starting one

Joining an existing group is the shortcut: a base is already up, resources are shared, and players will explain the rules. Start your own once you know what you want it to be.

Learn combat before you face it

ScandiCraft PvP rewards positioning and timing more than raw click speed. Practise against your own faction: a friendly duel costs nothing. With ScandiDuel you can also challenge any player to a 1v1.

Pick your gear for the trip

Go out with what you can afford to lose. For mining, a complete enchanted set is plenty; for a raid, take what holds through a long exchange. A full set, even in a humbler material, protects better than a single rare piece with iron around it.

The minimum vocabulary

Seven words you will hear from your very first login.

Faction
Your clan. A group of players with a base, a private chat, allies and enemies.
Claim
A plot of land held by your faction. Inside it, others cannot break blocks or loot chests.
Base
Your faction's headquarters: chests, farms, defences. The place you protect first.
Gear
Your full combat kit: armour, weapon, consumables. Gearing up is what you do before heading out.
Raid
An organised attack on another faction's base.
Safezone
An area where combat is disabled, typically around spawn. You land there safely on your first login.
Warzone
A dedicated fighting area where faction claims do not apply and explosions are blocked.

The questions people ask before starting

Do I need to be good at PvP to enjoy ScandiCraft?

No. A faction needs builders, gatherers, traders and organisers as much as fighters. And combat is learned: it rewards preparation as much as reflexes.

I play solo, is it worth it?

Yes to get a feel for it, but you will progress far faster in a group. The ScandiCraft Discord exists precisely to find a faction that is recruiting.

How long before I catch up?

You are useful from your first session: gathering, building, holding a chest. Rare gear takes longer, but it buys options, not an automatic win.

Can I play on Bedrock, console or mobile?

No. ScandiCraft only works with Minecraft Java Edition on a Windows, macOS or Linux computer.
