Privacy policy

This page explains what data ScandiCraft collects, why, and how Microsoft sign-in (Microsoft / Xbox account) works in the launcher.

Scope

This policy covers the ScandiCraft website, the ScandiCraft launcher, and related services (game and mod distribution, support).

ScandiCraft is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by Mojang or Microsoft.

Publisher

ScandiCraft is developed and managed by Fivarix, in Switzerland.

Microsoft sign-in

To play ScandiCraft, you need a Microsoft account with a legitimate Minecraft Java Edition purchase, in line with Mojang and Microsoft rules (see the Minecraft EULA).

The launcher uses a Microsoft Entra application (Microsoft / Xbox account authentication) with the device code flow.

The requested permissions are limited to XboxLive.signin and offline_access, so we can verify your Microsoft account, obtain an Xbox/Minecraft token, and keep you signed in without asking for your password on every launch.

Microsoft also processes your data under its own terms. ScandiCraft never receives your Microsoft password.

Data we may process

Depending on how you use the service, ScandiCraft may process: Minecraft username, email address (contact), messages you send, technical session or account identifiers linked to Microsoft/Xbox/Minecraft, technical logs (errors, launcher version, OS), and gameplay data needed to run the server.

Microsoft authentication tokens are stored locally and securely on your device. They are not used or stored on the website or anywhere else.

Purposes

We use this data to: sign you into Minecraft and ScandiCraft, install and update the game and mods, keep the service secure and stable, and answer support requests.

Retention

Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days. Local tokens stay on your device until you sign out, clear the cache, or uninstall.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell your data. It may be processed by essential technical providers (hosting, email, infrastructure) and by Microsoft for authentication.

Gameplay data may be visible to other players as part of multiplayer (username, in-game actions).

Your rights

Depending on applicable law (including the GDPR if you are in the EEA/UK), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your data, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise your rights, use the contact page. To revoke Microsoft access granted to ScandiCraft, also use your Microsoft account settings.

Security

We protect your data with appropriate measures: encrypted connections where possible, access limited to what is necessary, and minimal permissions for Microsoft sign-in.

If you have any security-related questions, you can reach us through the contact page.

Minors

ScandiCraft is intended for people who can play Minecraft Java Edition and use a Microsoft account. If you are a minor, use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission under your local rules and Microsoft/Minecraft rules.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page will change. For material updates, we may also show a notice on the site or in the launcher.
