World rules
Mobs, travel, storage and cleanup: the differences to know in Survival.
Mobs and drops
- Warden :a player kill gives 1 or 2 extra echo shards, with a 50% chance for each amount. Looting does not increase this bonus
- Phantoms :they no longer spawn naturally
- Wither :building its structure no longer summons it. Wither skeletons and their drops remain
Mob groups
- Group size :some mobs stack up to 128
- Each kill :removes one mob from the group
- Exceptions :villagers, aquatic mobs, raiders and creepers are not stacked
Travel and food
- Elytra :fireworks do not boost it, even outside combat
- Happy Ghast :you cannot ride it
- Chorus :it restores two hunger bars, but no longer teleports you
- Fire :ignition and damage follow Minecraft 26.2 rules
Brewing stands and item cleanup
- Brewing stand :no blaze powder is needed as fuel
- Dropped items :they are cleared every 60 minutes. Pick up your loot in time
- Warnings :messages appear 5 minutes, 1 minute, 30 seconds and 5 seconds beforehand
- Mobs :this cleanup does not remove them
Rarer resources
- Structures :villages, monuments, mansions, ancient cities, trial chambers, bastions and Nether fortresses are further apart
- Amethyst :geodes are about 30% rarer
- Ancient debris :it is half as common
- Netherite template :its chance in bastion chests outside the treasure room drops from 10% to 5%. The treasure room keeps its guaranteed template
Inactivity
- Away status :automatic away status is set to 5 minutes without activity
- Disconnection :it is set to 30 minutes of inactivity
- Pickups :dropped items are not picked up while away
- Return :move, interact or chat to become active again
