Install it
Open the downloaded file and follow the steps on screen. Installing takes less than a minute.
Sign in with your Minecraft account
The launcher uses your Minecraft Java Edition account, then prepares the ScandiCraft install and downloads the content it needs.
Launch the game and join the server
Hit Play: the launcher starts Minecraft and connects you to ScandiCraft. You appear at spawn, inside a protected area.
Your first session, without getting looted
You just landed at spawn. Here is the order that avoids the bad surprises.
Get your bearings in the safe zone
Spawn is a safezone: nobody can attack you there. Take a minute to read the signs and the commands on display before heading out.
Walk away before you settle
Setting up your first base right next to spawn means setting it on a highway. Walk a while before you start digging.
Gather enough to gear up twice
One set of gear means one mistake allowed. A reserve means you can come back after a defeat and learn from it.
Find a faction
The ScandiCraft Discord is where factions recruit. Joining an existing group is still the fastest way to learn.
Spar with your allies
ScandiCraft PvP is quick to learn but not something you improvise. A friendly duel costs far less than an ambush.

Do I need to buy Minecraft to play on ScandiCraft?
Yes, a valid Minecraft Java Edition account is required. The ScandiCraft launcher itself is free.
Can I play on Minecraft Bedrock, console or mobile?
No. ScandiCraft only works with Minecraft Java Edition, on a Windows, macOS or Linux computer.
Do I have to install the mods myself?
No. The launcher installs the ScandiCraft content and keeps it up to date automatically. There is no file for you to copy.
Do I need a specific Minecraft version?
No. The launcher installs and selects the right version on its own, then updates it as the server evolves.
