On ScandiCraft, you never create an account and never choose a password. You sign in with your Minecraft Microsoft account, on Microsoft's official page. That's it.

## Why is ScandiCraft safer than other launcher servers?

Unlike most launcher-based modded servers, ScandiCraft doesn't make you create yet another account with its own password.

## How does sign-in work?

Once, in under a minute. After that, the launcher recognizes you on its own.

It shows you a short code and a link to Microsoft's official page.

### Confirm at Microsoft

Enter the code and sign in to your Microsoft account, just like for Minecraft. ScandiCraft never sees your password.

### Play

Done: next time, you just press Play without typing anything.

## What ScandiCraft keeps, and what it doesn't

We only keep what your player profile needs, like your Minecraft username and UUID. Never your password: we never receive it.

## Sign-in questions

**Does ScandiCraft ask for a password?**

No, never. There is no separate ScandiCraft account: you sign in with the Microsoft account of your Minecraft Java Edition.

**Does ScandiCraft see my Microsoft password?**

No. You only type it on Microsoft's official page. The launcher only receives permission to launch Minecraft for you.

**What happens if ScandiCraft gets hacked?**

No password can leak from us, because we store none. Your Microsoft account stays protected by Microsoft.

**Do I need to create an account on the website?**

No. Your player profile is created automatically the first time you launch the game with the official launcher.

**Can I play with an unofficial Minecraft account?**

No. ScandiCraft only accepts official Minecraft Java Edition accounts, verified by Microsoft and Mojang.

**How do I remove the launcher's access?**

From your Microsoft account's privacy settings, in the list of authorized apps. You can also sign out in the launcher.
