It is disabled by default: choose your own style. To enable it, open Options → Resource Packs in Minecraft and select ScandiCraft Legacy. You are free to edit this pack or create your own ScandiCraft pack. The launcher keeps your changes. ScandiCraft packs use the same texture system as standard Minecraft: add, enable and arrange them in the Resource Packs menu. ## Frequently asked **What is ScandiCraft?** A French Minecraft PvP/Faction server set in a Viking world, founded in June 2014. You join a faction, claim territory, defend it, and fight with combat that brings back the feel of 1.7.10. **Is anything complicated to install?** No. The official launcher installs the game, the mods and everything else on its own. You download it, sign in with your Minecraft account, and play. **Which version of Minecraft do I need?** Minecraft Java Edition, version 26.2. The ScandiCraft launcher installs the right version on its own, so there is nothing to pick or download on the side. Bedrock, console and mobile editions cannot connect. **Is ScandiCraft free?** Yes. Joining and playing costs nothing, and the mods are included. All you need is an official Minecraft Java account, meaning you own the game. **Where should I start?** With Discover if you only know standard Minecraft: it covers what a PvP/Faction server is and what ScandiCraft changes.
